Lefokastro is a picturesque, traditional, fishermen's village on Pagasitikos gulf shore, a safe, wind-protected haven, with lovely, crystal clear beaches. It is only 25 km from Volos and 8 km from Argalasti, the center of the region it belongs to.

This fertile and full of growth land has been populated since ages ago as human presence in Lefokastro goes back to the early Stone Age.

Visitors have the chance to hike on stone-paved paths, to see lonely chapels, old stone fountains and a stone bridge, all of which make this small village so unique.

If one does not feel like cooking, one can taste fresh fish dishes and homelike food in the many little taverns along the sea shore.

One can also enjoy a romantic sunset, one of the most spectacular in Pagasitikos gulf.
